The verse I chose:

And I had done a hellish thing,

And it would work them woe:

For all averred, I had killed the bird,

that made the breeze to blow.

AH! Wretch! said they, the bird to slay,

that made the breeze to blow.

 

New verse:

And I hade done a demonic thing,

And it would work them suffering,

For all that maintain, I had eliminate the bird,

That made the breeze to pound,

AH! Wretch!, said they, the bird to execute,

that made the breeze to pound.

I chose this stanza because it is very effective and describes why he shot the bird. He shot the bird because he thought that the albatross would be against them. We can also say that he shot the albatross because that bird caused the breeze to pound towards their ship.
